2500kW 5.016MWh Containerized Energy Storage System
High-Power Energy Storage for Large-Scale Applications
2500kW/5.016MWh liquid-cooled containerized energy storage systems are suitable for large industrial parks, data centers, and other sites with high and continuous power demand. Each 20-foot ESS container provides 5.016MWh of battery capacity and 2500kW of rated power, with up to two hours of full-power discharge. Their high energy density allows large amounts of electricity to be stored within a compact footprint for load shifting, peak shaving, renewable energy integration, and grid support.
-
Standardized Container Design
- The 20-foot ESS containers integrate EMS, BMS, liquid cooling, and fire protection in one enclosure.
- Most assembly is completed before delivery, which allows on-site commissioning to be completed in as little as seven days.
-
Flexible Capacity Expansion
- Multiple ESS containers can operate in parallel to meet larger project requirements.
- The storage capacity can be expanded beyond 10MWh by adding more ESS container units.
-
Long Battery Service Life
- LFP (lifepo ₄) battery cells are rated for at least 8000 cycles while retaining 80% of their original capacity.
- The battery systems are supplied with a 10-year warranty.
-
Multi-Level Fire Protection
Thermal management linked with automatic aerosol fire suppression system, certified with IEC 62619 international safety certification.
-
Efficient Energy Management
- Charge and discharge efficiency reaches at least 95%, with four-quadrant operation for smooth power control.
- Intelligent dispatch coordinates battery storage with solar, wind, and diesel generation.
-
Grid Services and Revenue Opportunities
- The ESS containers can support primary frequency control (PFC), demand response, and reserve capacity services.
- Containerized ESS meet IEC 62619 and GB/T 36276 requirements for battery safety and grid-connected energy storage.
-
Remote Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance
- Predictive maintenance functions track battery health and provide fault warnings with accuracy above 99%.

- Battery System:
The ESS containers use 5.016MWh LFP battery systems designed for high-capacity energy storage. They operate at a nominal DC voltage of 1331.2V, within a range of 1164.8–1497.6V, and support a maximum DC current of 1440A at a 0.5C charge and discharge rate. Under specified conditions, the batteries provide at least 8000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge, with 70% capacity remaining.
- Power Conversion System (PCS):
The 2.5MW bidirectional PCS controls charging and discharging with efficiency of at least 95%. Its four-quadrant capability provides flexible power control and allows the battery systems to work with solar PV, wind power, and diesel generators.
- Thermal Management System:
Water cooling maintains an even temperature across the battery cells, with differences kept within 3°C. Intelligent control also cuts auxiliary energy use by 30% and keeps the ESS containers operating reliably from -30°C to 55°C.
- Intelligent Management System:
AI-based predictive maintenance continuously checks battery health and provides fault warnings with accuracy above 99%. Operators can review operating data from mobile or PC platforms through the cloud management system. The ESS containers also meet IEC 62619 and GB/T 36276 requirements for battery safety and grid-connected energy storage.
- Industrial Energy Cost Control
Ideal for steel, chemical, and other high-energy industries that need to reduce demand charges and avoid peak-rate costs
- Renewable Energy Support
Used with solar and wind farms to smooth power output, improve grid stability, and reduce energy curtailment
- Commercial Park Microgrids
Used as the main storage unit in commercial park microgrids to support grid-connected and off-grid operation during power interruptions
